Description of the missing person
Raya was passionate about education and had a strong personality. She had two daughters: Abir and Nisreen. She was very intelligent and motivated. She loved traveling and would go to Bulgaria, Italy and Germany (among other countries) as part of her passion and job to help the youth get a chance for a better education and a brighter future.
Circumstances of the Disappearance
She was in the car with 4 other passengers: 3 girls and one guy. She was going to Souk el Ghareb to sign up her daughters in school while the others were going to Syria to travel to Russia and continue studying there. The car was stopped at a checkpoint in the area of Mathaf, Beirut.
