Circumstances of the Disappearance
Kamal was stopped at a checkpoint on August 19, 1985 while driving back home from work with his nephew Semaan, a volunteer with the red cross who had just finished helping carry the victims of an explosion in Beirut. Both of them were taken away along the car and never seen again.
