Description of the missing person
From a young age, Jihad dreamed of joining the Lebanese army, and he wished to enroll in the military school. He was an excellent sportsman, and he had his own volleyball team and loved swimming. Jihad was greatly influenced by his grandfather, who was in the army. He had an indescribable eagerness. In 1990 he joined the army and was splitting his time between the military and his university. He preferred to join the volunteer army rather than a militia. He was an exemplary and compassionate person who loved caring for his friends, and most of the young people in his neighbourhood were his friends. He wasn't willing to take an allowance from his dad, as he wanted to work and rely on himself. He saved his money in a box, and his mother still keeps it there.
Circumstances of the Disappearance
Jihad was arrested on October 13th, 1990, in Hadat, St. Therese, by the Syrian army. His parents searched for him endlessly, to no avail.
