Description of the missing person
Ismat, who was six years old, was known for his unique, strong personality and for his nosiness. He was nicknamed “Abu Jumbo” due to his strong personality that seemed like it didn’t suit his age. This personality was unforgettable, even after Ismat disappeared in Tall el Zaatar camp with his mother and three siblings. Ismat loved playing sports and was a student at a school in Tall el Zaatar.
Circumstances of the Disappearance
During the blockade of Tall el Zaatar, Fatima (Ismat’s mother) and her three children attempted to escape when a passage out of the camp opened up. However, on their way out, their neighbor stopped them so that she could pick up her father, and when the neighbor returned, Fatima and her family had disappeared.
