Circumstances of the Disappearance
Soon after the outbreak of the War of the Camps, Wadih was heading to Kola, in Beirut, to drop off his fiance who was living in Sidon. He was accompanied by his brother Fouad. As they were traveling, a firefight broke out near them and Wadih told his brother to return to the camps and that he would keep heading towards Kola. After the gunfire intensified, Wadih managed to return to Daouk camp, where he disappeared. After he went missing, it was discovered that he had been taken to the Bir Hassan area.
