Description of the missing person
Hussein was twenty-three years old. His parents and two of his sisters were martyred during the Israeli invasion, shortly before Hussein’s disappearance. He enjoyed football and played it regularly along with chess and cards. Hussein liked helping others and was especially concerned with caring for the elderly. He dreamed of seeing the liberation of Palestine.
Circumstances of the Disappearance
On July 13th, 1983, Hussein went to visit his cousin, who had come from Abu Dhabi to the city of Tyre. Shortly after his arrival, Israeli solders took Hussein and his cousins from their home to the military governor’s headquarters in Tyre. He never returned to his family and they lost all means of contacting him.
Hussein’s disappearance left a deep psychological impact on his family, especially since his parents had been martyred and his oldest brother was traveling.
